Its 'Clean Up Australia' Community Day and we are volunteering to clean around the Point Peron area.  We are looking for more volunteers to help us out by giving us a little of your time.  It's never too early to teach children about the importance of keeping our nature areas clean of rubbish and to respect the local wildlife. The Navy Club bar will be open for refreshments on the day, so come on down, meet local people and take part in this community event. 

Welcome to our 2018 weekly playgroup!  Every Wednesday (term time only) 9:30-11:30 am Marilla runs an educational and fun playgroup with a new theme every term. Our new theme this term is Dr Seuss! Story time is going to be great! Calling all families with school aged children. You said and we listened. After collecting responses from our members we found a need for a social group for those families who have 'older' children. We have set up a group for all school aged children to come and meet every week. Every Tuesday at 4pm Marilla will provide a place for children aged 5 and above to come together with other school aged children and their families.  There will be a space for homework, a space for reading and also an age approprite activity for the day. Our Coordinator Maria will be there to support children with any homework or reading while the parents/guardians can catch up and have a coffee. We will be discussing the 'needs' of the group and what activities we should provide on the first day for the term so come along and engage in your community.  *Younger siblings are also welcome to attend however the activities may not be suitable for those ages and parents supervision is required.  All children will be the responsibilty of the parent/guardian who must remain at the centre during the session.  This session will be run outdoors so ensure your children are dressed for the weather.  Please choose the ticket option if you are attending, this is a free event. If you are currently not a member, you can attend the first session and then complete a membership application on the day or visit our 'memberships' option and join online.  Lets make this group a success and share to all those who might be interested.  Term time only

This months Friday Night Social Marilla is going 'Active' We will have active equipment out side for all the children to enjoy. Its all about encouraging children to be children, climb, jump hop, skip and run! This event is FREE and no booking is required! NEW FOR 2018... Metafit is here! This is a high intensity workout including a series of body-weight exercises with interval style training. designed to keep your body burning calories long after your training session is complete. Designed by a former marine, this is a class you can be sure to push your limits in. It is only 30 minutes long, but you will train hard the entire time. It is suitable for every fitness level because you can vary the exercise intensity up or down.  Bring $5, a towel and plenty of water to drink. You will use your towel or a fitness mat during the session as you will be required to sit, kneel or place your hands on the ground. Suitable for men and women aged 18-65.   Marilla fitness sessions are run by the lovely Kirsten from InFituation and are a child friendly fitness group that runs every Monday morning at 9.30 am from the Rockingham Naval Club (at the rear of the building).  No online ticket just come along and pay on the day!  If having to pay childcare costs or not having any childcare has put you off exercising in the past, this is for you! Marilla's Free Friday Socials for 2018 are here!  This Friday we have face paints and a bouncy castle so come and let the children wear off some of that holiday chocolate!  Marilla Community Centre will be providing fun entertainment for your little ones every last Friday of the month  5pm-7pm at The Rockingham Navy Club. A  place to come and meet your community and find out whats on!    Allow us to entertain the children, while you catch up with old friends and make new ones.   There will be a different 'fun entertainment activity' every month, so don't miss out and take advantage of this FREE event.   Come along and let the games begin!  Food available for adults and children, booking is essential. Call Rockingham Navy Club on 08 9592 7997 (  just leave a message with your name, date of booking and how many children/adults that require a meal) You can then choose on the night what you want to eat and you will have a table reserved for your meal.  The Navy club is a licensed venue.  Strictly no BYO food or drinks. Ensure you book your food so you have a table reserved inside.  Children who remain with their parents after the event closes (7pm) must be supervised by an adult and follow the Navy Clubs rules. Christmas DISCO and Santa Visit! Calling all music loving families! We will be having a Marilla Christmas Family Disco with Santa, food, games and so much more!!  This is going to be a sell out so grab your tickets now!! Please share this event so no-one misses out!
