'My Time' at Marilla Community Centre

MyTime groups provide support for mothers, fathers, grandparents and anyone caring for a child with a disability or chronic medical condition. It’s a place for you to unwind and talk about your experiences. It’s a world away from appointments and therapy. It’s support for you. Because you're worth it! My Time are looking for new members, it is free to attend/join, just turn up on the day and Claire will be there to help you.   Please share this information with anyone you believe will benefit from these sessions.  There is a children's play coordinator on site to help with your children while you relax and connect with people who understand.  It is not essential that children attend, the sessions are for you to relax and unwind You do not have to be a Marilla member to attend these sessions.  Every Thursday 9:30am -11:30am (Term time only) Based in the Rockingham Navy Club.  *Winners will be randomly selected at the end of term 3

We are ROARING into term 2 with a new theme  'Dinasours'. This week we are hosting the Paint Rockingham REaD Egg. Come along and read to the egg to help it grow. This is a Rockingham Early Years Group incentive sposored by Rockingham City Council to encourage people to read to their children.  If you have a little one who loves dinasours this playgroup is for you! Each week there will be activities, and stories all involving Dinasours. Claire our Playgroup Coordinator has lots of fun packed games to entertain the little ones. This Group runs every Wednesday at 9:30am-11:30am Cost is gold coin donation Please bring a piece of fruit to share Ensure you dress your child for the weather as this playgroup is run outdoors in the garden area (shade provided). For 0-4 years (pre-school only) Coffee and Tea available Renew your membership now to enjoy our groups and services.  Marilla...bringing the community together

This weeks playgroup will be running from the Playground in Rockingham.  Free entry for all Marilla members, renew your membership now for your free ticket. Booking essential.  Come grab a coffee and let the children have a free play session on us.  All welcome. You do not have to print your ticket as there will be a list at the door. Save the trees!

  This week we are meeting at Fantasy Park Rand Avenue Waikiki 6169.    We have set up a group for all school aged children to come and meet every week. Every Tuesday at 3:30pm Marilla will provide a place for children aged 5 and above to come together with other school aged children and their families.  There will be a space for homework, a space for reading and also an age approprite activity for the day. Our Coordinator Maria will be there to support children with any homework or reading while the parents/guardians can catch up and have a coffee. There will be Maths and English workbooks, creative art work, free play and a story for those who want to listen.  Please feel free to bring your childrens reading books from school and/or a favorite story book to be read on the day.  Afternoon tea will be provided. Healthy snacks to keep those little minds working.  A semi structured programme to engage young minds.  *Younger siblings are also welcome to attend however the activities may not be suitable for those ages and parents supervision is required.  All children will be the responsibilty of the parent/guardian who must remain at the centre during the session.  This session will be run outdoors so ensure your children are dressed for the weather.  Please choose the ticket option if you are attending, this is a free event. BOOKING ESSENTIAL If you are currently not a member, you can attend the first session and then complete a membership application on the day or visit our 'memberships' option and join online. Booking essential Term time only This programme will be run by Maria our Coordinator with support from our Marilla members, come along and grab a coffee.

Pregnancy, Mums and Bubs term 2

This group aims to support pregnant women and newborns (up to 12 months). Its an informal meet up where you get to chat to other mums and get/share advice and information in regards to your pregnancy and experiences. Each week will have a different topic of discussion and some weeks we will have guest speakers and parenting workshops. We have a digital baby weighing scales so you can check your babies weight.  Come along for a coffee and a chat.  Please bring a small snack to share (not compulsary) To join Marilla please visit our website and click 'memberships' and 'new'
