Marilla's Welcome to Rockingham event.  If you have just moved to the area or just want to find out more about our wonderful wildlife, Marilla with the City of Rockingham  is bringing you this wonderful hands on session to learn about how to protect and embrace our local wildlife. Marilla has also added another farm to this event.  Come on down and meet some of the extraordinary wildlife we have in WA.  We have activities for the children,  the bar will be open and a sausage sizzle will be available at $2.50  This is a free entry event for the community.  We have special guests and lots more.  Raffle tickets available for purchase on the day $1 per ticket.  *You do not have to be a member to attend this event.  Parking on the verge may result in an infringement so ensure you park legally and safely.    Marilla...bringing people together.   

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT   This school holiday event will be a blast. Due to the popularity of last years Mad Science Event we are running it again.  We are partnering with Amazing Kids Partys to bring you a spectacular session of experiments thats hands on and crazy.  A must for all children 5+ (younger children can attend however will not be able to take part in all the activities)  We will be making instant snow, a pop rocket, exploding sandwich bag and a lava lamp and balloon twisting! Book now as limited spaces available.  Price includes a light snack.  Stick around for West Oz wildlife at 1:30pm where all the family can enjoy seeing lots of different animals and creatures. 

MyTime groups provide support for mothers, fathers, grandparents and anyone caring for a child with a disability or chronic medical condition. It’s a place for you to unwind and talk about your experiences. It’s a world away from appointments and therapy. It’s support for you. Because you're worth it! My Time are looking for new members, it is free to attend/join, just turn up on the day and Claire will be there to help you.   Please share this information with anyone you believe will benefit from these sessions.  There is a children's play coordinator on site to help with your children while you relax and connect with people who understand.  It is not essential that children attend, the sessions are for you to relax and unwind You do not have to be a Marilla member to attend these sessions.  Every Thursday 9:30am -11:30am (Term time only) Based in the Rockingham Navy Club.     

We are ROARING into term 2 with a new theme  'Dinasours'. If the weather is rough we will be at the Sea Rescue Hall next door If you have a little one who loves dinasours this playgroup is for you! Each week there will be activities, and stories all involving Dinasours. Claire our Playgroup Coordinator has lots of fun packed games to entertain the little ones. This Group runs every Wednesday at 9:30am-11:30am Cost is gold coin donation Please bring a piece of fruit to share Ensure you dress your child for the weather as this playgroup is run outdoors in the garden area (shade provided) if the weather is dry.   This week we are meeting at Fantasy Park Rand Avenue Waikiki 6169.    We have set up a group for all school aged children to come and meet every week. Every Tuesday at 3:30pm Marilla will provide a place for children aged 5 and above to come together with other school aged children and their families.  There will be a space for homework, a space for reading and also an age approprite activity for the day. Our Coordinator Maria will be there to support children with any homework or reading while the parents/guardians can catch up and have a coffee. There will be Maths and English workbooks, creative art work, free play and a story for those who want to listen.  Please feel free to bring your childrens reading books from school and/or a favorite story book to be read on the day.  Afternoon tea will be provided. Healthy snacks to keep those little minds working.  A semi structured programme to engage young minds.  *Younger siblings are also welcome to attend however the activities may not be suitable for those ages and parents supervision is required.  All children will be the responsibilty of the parent/guardian who must remain at the centre during the session.  This session will be run outdoors so ensure your children are dressed for the weather.  Please choose the ticket option if you are attending, this is a free event. This group aims to support pregnant women and newborns (up to 12 months). This week we have a worshop/session on 'Effective Communication From Birth to 1'  We will be talking about speech and lanuage development, milestones and how talking starts.  Run by a local specialist in this area. Guest speaker Leonie (Motherhood Coaching Services) will deliver this session.  This FREE workshop will provide you with evidence based, gentle strategies on sleep behaviours for your baby. It will be a 1.5 hour long talk with time at the end for questions and discussions.  BOOKING ESSENTIAL. LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE. Members only.  Its an informal meet up where you get to chat to other mums and get/share advice and information in regards to your pregnancy and experiences. Each week will have a different topic of discussion and some weeks we will have guest speakers and parenting workshops.
